The Calera High School wrestling team dropped a pair of matches against Saint James and host Holtville in high school wrestling action Jan. 3.

The Eagles fell to Saint James 60-18. Three Calera wrestlers won individual matches against Saint James.

Coby Mize of Calera pinned Zac Steele of Saint James in 1:49 in the 170-pound match. Danny Diaz of Calera won his 220-pound match by forfeit.

Kevin Murry  of Calera pinned Brad Murry of Saint James in 2:29 in the heavyweight match.

Calera fell to host Holtville 46-24. Four Eagles won individual matches against Holtville.

Hunter Alexander of Calera pinned Andrew McLean of Holtville in 2:33 in the 106-pound match. Robert Thomaston of Calera won his 113-pound match by forfeit.

Diaz won his 220-pound by forfeit. Murry won his heavyweight match by forfeit.
