Onnie Lee Higgins, age 68, of Shelby, died Saturday, May 22, 2010. Mr. Higgins was retired from Elastic Corporation after 45 years of service. He attended South Shelby Baptist Church and was an avid camper and fisherman.
Chapel service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana, with the Rev. Tom Minor officiating. Burial will follow in Bay Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, May 24, 2010, from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana.
Mr. Higgins is survived by his wife, Sudie Higgins; daughter, Robin Wilkinson (Michael); son, Ronnie Higgins (Jamie); granddaughters, Shannon Carter (Tommaso), Samantha Higgins and Jasmine Smith; grandsons, Liam Higgins and Wyatt Higgins; sisters, Lola Mae Smith, Louise Haisten, Betty Reinhardt, Sara Howard (Johnny) and Brenda Horton (Jim); sisters-in-law, Judy McCall (O.J.) and Jewel Benson; brothers-in-law, James Benson, Charles G. Benson and Hollis Benson (Dean) and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
