The Briarwood Christian School girls’ basketball team defeated Talladega 49-35 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 5A, Area 7 contest Jan. 3.

Abbie Cutcliffe led the Lions (11-3 overall, 2-0 in Class 5A, Area 7) with a game-high 21 points in the victory.

BOYS

The Briarwood Christian School boys’ basketball team fell to Talladega 79-51 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 5A, Area 7 contest Jan. 3.

Jason Laatsch led the Lions (9-8 overall, 0-2 in Class 5A, Area 7) with 20 points.

Raymond Woods added 10 points.
