The Coosa Valley Academy girls’ basketball team defeated Kingwood Christian School 31-21 in high school basketball action Dec. 19.

Amelia Ripley led the Rebels (7-4) with 11 points in the victory. Ripley also grabbed seven rebounds and finished with three steals.

Lauren Archer added eight points and three steals. Terrie Sprayberry finished with five points and eight rebounds.

Carlee Yarnell, Kaylan Rich and Samantha Baker chipped in two points each. Rich grabbed five rebounds. Baker and Amber Bassett finished with eight boards each.
