Shelby County lost a patriot Tuesday afternoon when County Commissioner George Dailey died.
He was a commissioner for 14 years and worked to make the county a better place for everyone regardless of race, gender or politics.
During his service, Dailey worked to make the county debt free and strived for the best education for Shelby County’s kids.
Our county will be better for having had Dailey at the helm for even a short period of time.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dailey’s wife, Jewel, and the rest of his family.
Thank you, Commissioner Dailey, for your hard work, your time and effort in Shelby County.
You will certainly be missed
