The Chelsea High School boys’ basketball team defeated Chilton County 49-35 in high school basketball action Dec. 12.

D.D. Washington led the Hornets with 17 points in the victory. Washington also recorded a team-high 13 rebounds to finish with a double-double.

Jake Ganus added 11 points and dished out four assists.

GIRLS

The Chelsea High School girls’ basketball team defeated Chilton County 37-10 in high school basketball action Dec. 12.

Perri Lambert led the Hornets with 13 points in the victory. Lambert also recorded five rebounds and six steals.

Allie Luster finished with eight points and five steals. Amanda Mock contributed six points and a team-high 12 rebounds.
