On Sunday, Feb. 29, about 2,000 members of Valleydale Baptist Church will meet for one service at 10 a.m. on their old campus then &uot;crossover&uot; to their new location.&160;

Sheriff’s deputies will be directing traffic for this major milestone in the church’s 30-year history as members walk and pray the one mile distance between campuses.&160;Aerial photos will be taken to record this huge procession.

On March 7, the church will begin its regular service schedule of two worship services (9:30 and 11 a.m.) and three Bible study hours (8:15, 9:30 and 11 a.m.) at its new location, one mile east of Interstate 65 on Valleydale Road.

Valleydale’s new location has twice the acreage of their old location, now owned by Southeastern Bible College, and the new worship center seats 1,600.&160;

The new building includes two full-size basketball courts, recreation areas and state-of-the-art preschool facilities that include an indoor playground.&160;

Missions Pastor Saint Green says, &uot;We’ve already welcomed many new children and their families through our Upward Basketball Leagues.&uot;&160;

&uot;We don’t like to focus on our building, we like to focus on the people we will now be able to extend a heart of acceptance and a hand of fellowship to because of the additional space and amenities,&uot; says Keith Stanley, executive pastor.&160;

Valleydale Church has extended an invitation to everyone who does not have a church home to join them for their grand opening on Sunday, March 14.&160;

After worship, all will be treated to Johnny Ray’s barbecue, live bluegrass music, inflatables for young children and activities for all ages
