The Spain Park High School girls’ basketball team edged Thompson 51-45 in high school basketball action Dec. 6.

Whitney Gulledge led the Jaguars with 13 points in the victory. Gulledge also finished with a team-high four steals.

Kathryn Boswell, who dished out a team-high three assists, and Jessica Freeman chipped in 11 points each.

Ashley Gaston and Jasmine Moore chipped in five points each. Jasmine Hollis, who grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds, and Victoria Baldwin contributed three points each.

KaDeisha Stowes led Thompson with a game-high 14 points. Stowes also grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds to finish with a double-double.

Rachel Lawley added 11 points and six rebounds. Katie Guiser chipped in nine points. Kiarra Pettway contributed five points.

Hannah Oglesby finished with two points and a team-high three steals.

BOYS

The Spain Park High School boys’ basketball team defeated Thompson 61-54 in double overtime in high school basketball action Dec. 6.

Rembert Martin led the Jaguars with a game-high 25 points in the victory.

Blake Dudchock added 11 points.

Demarcus Threatt led the Warriors with 14 points. Marcus Lewis added 12 points.
