Hoover police arrest suspect in Greystone burglaries

Hoover Police detectives recently arrested a suspect in two recent home burglaries in Greystone.
Louie Andrew Hollis III, 20, of Hoover is suspected of the burglaries, which occurred March 17 and March 19. Jewelry, guns and other items were taken. Most of the stolen items have been recovered, according to a Hoover Police press release.
Hollis is also suspected of burglarizing the Greystone Legacy clubhouse and maintenance shop. Police believe that burglary occurred between March 20-21. Approximately $12,000 worth of liquor and property were stolen, and there was more than $19,000 worth of damages to the building.
Hollis is being held in the Shelby County Jail on three charges of burglary in the 3rd degree. His total bond is $45,000.
