Shelby County’s municipal elections will be held next Tuesday. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Local residents need to take the opportunity to select who will run their hometown – its a privilege that’s only granted once every four years.
A trip to the polls may not be an easy fit in the hectic daily schedule kept by many hard-working citizens in Shelby County, but there is no excuse for not taking a few moments out of the day for such an important responsibility.
A few moments of inconvenience sure beats four years of regret for not casting that ever-important ballot.
There is a substantial number of candidates for mayor and city council posts in each of Shelby County’s 12 municipalities. Some of them are more qualified than others.
By exercising your right to vote, you can assure that the best men and women available will be in charge of looking over our cities and residents
