A wreck on Shelby County 70 in Columbiana sent one woman to the hospital March 31.

The wreck happened shortly before 6 p.m. near the intersection of Shelby County 70 and Walton Street near the Columbiana Movie Gallery store when a green Mercury minivan collided head-on with a blue Chevrolet pickup truck.

Ambulance crews transported a woman in the Chevrolet truck to the hospital, but she did not receive life-threatening injuries, according to Columbiana Police at the scene.

The wreck brought traffic to a crawl on both lanes of Shelby County 70 for nearly 30 minutes.
