Wet and wild was the scene at Shelby County Speedway Saturday night. After a heavy rainfall, drivers took to a slippery track for the weekend’s feature events.

The Hobby division began the feature events with Gary Ingram (No. 88) on the pole. Shortly after the green flag dropped, Jason Harris (No. P4) took a hard hit on the outside wall before going into turn one. After the restart from Harris’ caution, Chris Revis (No. 07) and Stanley Littleton (No. 3) tied up coming out of turn four and Revis slammed into the outside wall also. Jeremy Andrews (No. 64) started seventh and was able to make his way to second for the finish by avoiding the many cautions of the race. Ingram went on to win with Andrews in second, Littleton in third, Bob Sapp (No. 18) in fourth and Jarrod McGaha (No. 72) in fifth.

David Davis (No. 00) led the majority of the Pure Stock division’s feature race, barely holding off Johnny Carroll (No. 4). Larry Hatchett (No. 01) started second, but lost his position to Carroll on the third lap and would keep third for the remainder of the race. Davis finished first with Carroll in second, Hatchett in third, Buster Avery (No. 4) in fourth and Wayne Spradlin (No. 17) in fifth.

The Pure Pony division took the track next with Steven Foster (No. 2) starting first. Foster kept his lead until lap nine when he suffered a flat tire. Bobby Kendrick (No. 7) took the lead with Roger Joiner (No. 8N) moving up behind him in second. Jeremy Wells (No. 81) stayed close behind Joiner and got around him on the last lap for second. Kendrick finished first with Wells in second, Joiner in third, Frank Johnson (No. 70) in fourth and James Hallman (No. 6) in fifth.

John Pierce (No. 88) started on the pole in the Limited Late Model division with Jason Barrett (No. 22) in second. Barrett stole first from Pierce on the first lap of the event but didn’t keep the lead for long. Pierce patiently waited for a chance to pass Barrett and took the lead back on lap three. Pierce led the remainder of the race and added another win to his resum/ for 2005.

The Thunder and Lightning division was the next class featured with Sandy Dawson (No. 88) starting first. Jimmy Pyle (No. 19) started outside of Dawson in second. The two drivers kept their positions the entire race. Dawson is currently first in point standings.

The Hogg division ended the night with Harold Hannah (No. 23) on the pole. Hannah led the race up until the last lap when he left the track with a mechanical failure. Ted Denson (No. 6) began making his way to the front after the race began and took the feature win after Hannah left the track. Adam Williams (No. 12) finished behind Denson in second with Aaron Vick (No. 11) in third and Gary Woods (No. 77) in fourth.
