After several career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts, former NASCAR Southeast Series champion Charlie

Bradberry is set to take on the NASCAR Busch Series.

Bradberry will make his Busch Series debut on this Saturday at the Memphis Motorsports Park in Memphis, Tenn. He will be racing in the Sam’s Town 250 driving for Tommy Ramirez Motorsports.

Bradberry tested the No. 91 Speed Zone Energy Drink Dodge two weeks ago at the .75-mile Memphis track in preparation for the event.

&uot;I’m really excited to get this opportunity with Tommy and the entire 91 team,&uot; Bradberry said.

&uot;I’ve got some experience in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and I’ve raced at Memphis several times in both the Trucks Series and the Southeast Series, so hopefully things will go well.

&uot;I’ve enjoyed the test because it gave me a good feel for the car,&uot; he said.

Bradberry has four career starts at Memphis.

He raced at the track three times with the Southeast Series, with his best finish being third.

He also started one Craftsman Truck Series race at Memphis, back in 2003, when he finished 16th with his family-owned operation.

&uot;I like Memphis.

It is a fast track, but it is a good beating-and-banging short track as well.

I’ve always seemed to run pretty well there.

In fact, I had my best career Truck Series finish at Memphis.

It should all transfer over to the Busch car pretty well.&uot;

The test Oct. 12 was the start of a busy two-week stretch for Bradberry.

Afterwards he took his #78 Super Late Model to Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL, to compete in the final Blizzard Series race of the year.

The Blizzard Series races lead up to the annual Snowball Derby held in December at the track.

Bradberry won the Snowball Derby in 2003.

On Oct. 15 he competed at the South Alabama Speedway in Opp for a $4,000-to-win, 100-lap event.

The next day found Bradberry returning to the NASCAR Southeast Series when the series made its second stop of the year at the Music City Motorplex on the complex of the old Nashville Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tenn.

Bradberry had one of the fastest cars during the first race of the year at Nashville with the Southeast Series, but was collected in a first-lap, multi-car accident.
