Joe Alexander Hyde, 71, of Vandiver died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Hyde; three sons, Gary (Donna) Hyde, Doyle (Ginger) Lynn and Bobby (Melody) Snow; one daughter, Gwendall Lynn; one brother, Bobby (Charolette) Gardner; one sister, Mae Theogmorten; eight grandchildren, Joey Hyde, David Hyde, Brandon Lynn, Zackery Lynn, Hunter Lynn, Amanda Snow, Bobby Snow Jr. and Charity Snow; and a host of friends.

Service was Jan. 7 at 2 p.m. at Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church in Vandiver, the Rev. Billy Burttrum presiding. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery, Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City directing
