Anna Mae Matherson, 80, of Shelby died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at home. She was born June 23, 1925, in Talladega, Ala.

She is survived by her children, Peggy Ann Posey, Robert Thurman Matherson and John Milton Matherson; grandchildren, Machelle Lynn Cole, Shannon Lee Pickett, Terra Nae Wallace, John Christian Matherson and Jason Erich Jacks; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Martha Lucille McKinnon.

Service was Jan. 20 at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home, Daryle Nichols presiding. Burial followed in Hand Cemetery, Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directing
