Luevenue Dennis, 96, of Pelham died Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, at a local hospital. She was born on May 28, 1909, in Shelby County and was preceded in death by her husband, General P. Dennis.

She is survived by her children, Margaret (Robert E.) Hampton and Lorene Young; her grandchildren, Betty Evans and Irene McGee; her great-grandchildren, Clay McRee, Barbara Johnson and Wanda White; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Service was Jan. 19 at 11 a.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. Burial following in Pinelawn Gardens, Bolton-Letlow directing
