The Spain Park Jaguar wrestlers competed Saturday in the Bob Jones Dual Tournament in Madison, Ala.

The Jags struggled with two of the starters, Will Gurley (103-pound) and Andrew Noto (189-pound) out due to injuries, losing to Brusly, La., 48-27, Grissom, 57-18, and Bob Jones, 57-20. Spain Park&8217;s sole victory came over Hartselle, 43-30.

Outstanding wrestler for the Jags was Bo Bishop (152-pound) going undefeated with three pins and one forfeit while gaining the maximum team points.

Also undefeated for the Jags was Chris Goodwin (140-pound) with one pin, two technical falls and one major decision; and Matt Noto (215-pound) with three pins and one decision.

Noto&8217;s highlight came in a 3-1 decision over Justin Okpara of Bob Jones, considered one of the top contenders for the state championship.

The Jaguars travel to Prattville Friday and Saturday to compete in sectionals for the state tourney
