Funeral Services for Martha G. Thomas, 75, of Verbena, were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2006 at Bolton-Letlow Chapel.

Burial followed in Shelby Memory Gardens. Visitation was Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thomas, who passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2006, at a local nursing home, was born Nov. 7, 1930 in Dadeville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Earl Glass, Mary Ann Huddleston; daughter, Sherry Smith; siblings, Bill Glass, Janie Glass, Herman Glass, Arthur Glass, Inez Roper, Esther Reeves.

She is survived by her husband, Willie M. Thomas; children, Sammy (Jan) Shoemaker, Billy (Karen) Thomas, Louis (Tammy) Thomas, Joe Smith, Judy (Richard) Cordell, Sue (Larry) Horton, Dianne (Robert) Franklin, Tammy (Michael) Smith, Lisa (Ronald) Giles, Beth (Don) Edwards; 19 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; brothers, Dan (Ann) Glass and Lawrence (Donna) Glass.
