Funeral for Eric D. Harless, 26, of Alabaster, was Monday, May 1, 2006, at Westwood Baptist Church.

Burial followed at Harless Cemetery with the Rev. Les Hughes officiating.

Harless, who died April 29, 2006, at a local hospital, was born April 26, 1980, in Birmingham. His life was devoted to serving the Lord on numerous mission trips, serving with Campus Life as well as being an active member of Westwood Baptist Church. During his lifetime, he was a role model for the many youth of the church as well as adults. He lived his life committed to God, family, church and friends and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his parents, Steve and Hattie Harless and Lynn and Leonard Sachs; his grandparents, Jeanette Harless of Shelby, Richard and Joan Harless of Shelby, Sarah Knowles of Wilsonville and Jim Mac Lawley of Alabaster; his sisters, Jennifer Galloway and April Vogel; his nieces, Anna, Jenna, Adaline and Lilli; and his nephew, Paul Adam.
