Evelyn Davis, 82, of Wilsonville died Monday, May 1, 2006, at a local hospital.

She was born Aug. 13, 1923, in Shelby County. She is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Davis, and her son, John Davis.

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Davis, Kenneth Davis and Billy Davis; her daughters, Sara Bell, Doris Edge and Diane Henderson; 13 grandchildren, Margaret Williams, Cindy Bell, Sheila Farmer, Richard Bell, Larry Davis, Allen Edge, Jason Davis, Angie Davis, April Clark, Joy Abbott Davis, Craig Davis, David Henderson and Brandon Henderson; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Service was May 4 at 2:30 p.m. at Cedar Grove Freewill Baptist Church, the Rev. Roland Foster presiding. Burial followed in the adjacent cemetery, Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directing
