John Frank Suttle, 88, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at his farm in Columbiana, surrounded by loved ones.

He had lived in Columbiana since 1955, making a living as a farmer and a Professor of Engineering at Montevallo. He was a World War II veteran, and held a degree in engineering from Auburn University. He was an active member in his community, teaching Sunday school, Boy Scouts and supporting the 4-H club, and a member of the First Baptist Church.
