Pelham police officials have decided to hold off on filing charges against three people involved in a drug investigation for allegedly selling crack and powder cocaine, methamphetamine and hydrocodone to undercover officers.

The department initially planned on filing charges on Monday in the case, but Pelham police lieutenant Larry Palmer said new information caused them to hold off.

Palmer confirmed that one suspect had already been arrested in the case but said he could not release the identity of any of the suspects until the investigation was complete.

Pelham police incident reports indicate that undercover officers made drug purchases from the three suspects on four different occasions dating back to July 6.

The transactions took place in a Pelham business parking lot near U.S. 31 and Alabama 261.

According to the reports, officers purchased 27 grams of powder cocaine, 34 grams of crack, one gram of methamphetamines and 30 hydrocodone tablets
