A Wilsonville councilman resigned last month after 15 years on the town council.

Jim Stone moved outside town limits and could no longer serve as a council member.

For his service to the community, he was honored with a certificate of appreciation at the July 10 town council meeting, in which he expressed thanks for being able to serve for so long.

Stone had represented his district since 1992. Mayor Rosemary Liveoak will appoint someone to finish Stone&8217;s term.
