Sheriff SWAT team discovers murder-suicide victims in Alabaster home

A Shelby County Sheriff’s SWAT team discovered two bodies in an Alabaster home Thursday morning, victims of an apparent murder-suicide.
Alabaster police officials said Thursday they had received calls from neighbors around 7:20 a.m. on Thursday morning expressing concerns that their might be a problem at a home located in Cedar Meadows subdivision off of First Ave, West.
The neighbors told officers they had received calls from out-of-state relatives of the owners of the house warning of possible problems.
Police closed of the road surrounding the house around 11 a.m. and the SWAT team discovered two bodies upon entering the residence.
Alabaster police confirmed that there was evidence of shooting.
Alabaster Police Captain Curtis Rigney confirmed that the scene looked like a possible murder-suicide of a husband and wife. According to reports, the husband called both families to let them know what he had done and then told family members he was going to commit suicide.
The names of the couple were not immediately available
