Both Briarwood Christian School and Spain Park will host volleyball tournaments this weekend.

Briarwood will host the Serve-Off volleyball tournament this Friday and Saturday, Aug. 25-26. And Spain Park will host the 24th annual Juanita Boddie Tournament this weekend.

The tournament at Spain Park will feature three class champions and a field of 6A contenders.

Oak Mountain earned a birth the Elite Eight championship tournament last year.

In the Serve-Off tournament, varsity teams will see actions both days and include host Briarwood, Oxford, Curry, Gardendale, Gulf Shores, Tallassee, Springville, Muscle Shoals, John Carroll, Benjamin Russell, Saint Paul&8217;s and Southside Gadsden.

Varsity pool play will be from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday. Seeding will be from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday with tournament play set for 12 noon until the finals at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Junior varsity teams will play on Saturday only and include Briarwood, Springville, Muscle Shoals, Oxford, Gardendale, John Carroll, Benjamin Russell and Southside Gadsden.

Pool play will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. with the championship set for 3 p.m
