A Helena man was charged with four counts of sodomy earlier this month for allegedly abusing, a 9-year-old autistic child that he had been babysitting regularly over the past two years.

Christopher Pair turned himself in to Helena police on Sept. 1 to face the charges.

Pair was booked and transferred to the Shelby County Sheriff&8217;s jail where he posted his $80,000 bond three days later.

The alleged abuses took place at the child&8217;s house, officials say, over a two-year period staring when the child was 7 years old.

A court date for Pair to face the charges against him was unavailable at press time
