The City of Alabaster is ready to give some citizens a second chance.

Alabaster Mayor David Frings announced this week that the city will hold a court amnesty day on Nov. 3 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

During that time, any person with an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge can avoid being arrested or facing a penalty of $102 by appearing in court.

Those appearing must have the money available to pay the fines and court costs from their original charge, however.

City officials said there is a link on Alabaster&8217;s website at www.cityofalabaster.com, under the police link, where anyone interested can find out if they are eligible for the amnesty day
