Church Focus: Mt. Zion values tradition worship

Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Westover welcomes all to its traditional worship services.
The church has four services per week, all with a &8220;down-home&8221; feel and style of worship.
Located on Old Highway 280 just before Shelby County 55, the church is one of Westover&8217;s four
Baptist churches.
Its 60-70 worshippers say the church is a great place to worship and grow in God, surrounded by other Christian people.
The church has an 11 a.m. worship service Sunday that is preceded by Sunday School at 10 a.m.
Mt. Zion&8217;s Sunday evening service starts at 6:30 p.m. and a midweek Wednesday service is also at 6:30 p.m.
The current pastor is the Rev. J.R. Harris.
