Henry Vergil &8220;Doc&8221; Jarvis of Pea Ridge, age 89, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2006 in Alabaster.

He was a retired employee of U.S. Steel and was a Baptist minister.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years of marriage, Sudie F. Jarvis; daughter, Carolyn Brantley of Pea Ridge; son, LaVaughn (Pat) Jarvis of Hoover; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Galeon Daily and son, Curtis and Herbert Jarvis.

Funeral service was Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Rockco Chapel with burial in Macedonia Cemetery. Presiding clergy were the Rev. Billy Burtram, the Rev. Reburn Dailey and the Rev. Jason Jarvis.
