Pollie Allen Hartley Kendrick

Pollie Allen Hartley Kendrick, age 69, beloved wife, mother, maw maw and friend went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006 surrounded by the ones she loved.
She was preceded in death by her late husband George Hartley.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Kendrick; two daughters, Denise Hartley (Jess) Dixon of Chelsea and Karen Kendrick of Hoover; two sons, Chris Hartley of Chelsea and Billy Kendrick of Westover; grandchildren, Shane Hartley of Chelsea, Stephen (Rachel) Dixon of Birmingham; Brandon Hartley of Port O&8217;Conner, Texas, Alan Dixon of Chelsea, Lacie Kendrick of Hoover, Trevor Kendrick of Westover, John (Collen) Dixon of Madison, James Dixon of Warrior, Jessica (Matthew) Kahn of Germany; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Leighton (Daisy) Allen and Douglas (Jerri) Allen both of McCalla; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Metro Church of God in Birmingham.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. The service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006 in the chapel of Southern Heritage Funeral Home with burial at K-Springs Church of God Cemetery in Chelsea.
Mom and maw maw, you are the heart and soul of our family, there is now a void that cannot be replaced, but your legacy will live on. The loving, caring and giving heart you shared with so many people has left a warm touch that will never be forgotten. We will always love you, you will always be in our hearts.
Our sincere thanks and gratitude go to Dr. James Cantrell and his caring staff at the Bruno Cancer Center and to the nurses on the oncology floor at St. Vincent&8217;s Hospital. Your love, kindness and tenderness for our mom and maw maw will never be forgotten. She loved you all.
