Marion Lether Averette, age 101, of Alabaster passed away Monday, Dec. 25 at his home. Visitation was held Wednesday, Dec 27 at Rockco&8217;s Funeral Home. Funeral service was held Thursday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. at Springhill Holiness Church in Hale County. Presiding clergy were the Reverends John C. Spain, Ronnie Blankenship and Ray Grantham. He is survived by his daughters, Nellie (Clyde) Ballard and Marie (Grey) Snodgrass; sons, M.E. (Dean) Averette, son-in-law, Clonnie Fondren; sister, Pearlie Maw Duncan; and six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lissie Averette and daughter Gladys Fondren
