Memorial service for James Davidson, age 58, of Shelby, was held on Saturday, Jan. 6, at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.

Mr. Davidson, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3, at a local hospital, was born on Oct. 13, 1948 in Beaumont, Texas. Mr. Davidson held three degrees from Texas A & M University and Masters degrees from both Sam Houston University and Samford University.

He worked for the Alabama Department of Environmen-tal Management for 22 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary Gayle Davidson; step-children, Elizabeth S. (Matt) Geller, Bo (Angie) Simmons; sister, Patricia D. (Charlie) Watson; niece, Kathleen Watson and a host of other family and friends.

The family will welcome flowers or you may make a memorial contribution in James&8217; memory to the Shelby County Humane Society.
