A three-car accident on Interstate 65 South last Tuesday killed a 47-year-old Calera woman. Alabama State Trooper Spokesman Sgt. Tim Sartain said Tamara Sharp died at the scene of the wreck, which occurred around 12:30 in the afternoon.
Sharp was driving alone near the Cahaba Valley Road exit, Sartian said.
A driver in another vehicle, Larry Williamson, 54, of Leeds, was also injured in the accident. He was taken to UAB Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition on Wednesday. The driver of the third vehicle was not injured.
The accident, which temporarily shut down part of the Interstate, is still under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers
