WASHINGTON D.C. – For the 119th Congress, Rep. Gary Palmer will be serving on the House Committees on Oversight and Government Reform and Energy and Commerce.

On the Committee on Energy and Commerce, Rep. Palmer will be serving on the Energy and Environment subcommittees. He will also be serving as chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. This subcommittee is responsible for conducting oversight and investigations of any matter related to the jurisdiction of the full committee. This includes telecommunications, energy policy, consumer protection, food and drug safety, public health and research, environmental equality and interstate and foreign commerce.

“I am looking forward to another congress on the Energy and Commerce Committee and working with Chairman Brett Guthrie to unleash American energy,” Palmer said. “I appreciate the confidence of Chairman Brett Guthrie in trusting me with this opportunity to chair the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. We will work with President (Donald) Trump and members of his administration to unleash our energy and secure critical minerals that will bring down the cost of living and are critical to our national security.”

On the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Palmer will be serving on the Subcommittees on Government Operations and Economic Growth, Energy Policy and Regulatory Affairs.

“I am looking forward to working with Chairman James Comer in this congress on the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform,” Palmer said. “We must continue to hold government bureaucrats accountable and provide transparency for the American people.”
