CHELSEA – The city of Chelsea is expected to see a new Taco Bell and 7 Brew come to town off of U.S. Highway 280.

Both the Taco Bell and 7 Brew will be constructed in place of the Marathon gas station located at 16634 Hwy. 280 W, which is set to be torn down in the coming future.

The upcoming development project is set to be the third of its kind in the county. In November, Calera welcomed a 7 Brew in November 2024 before later seeing a relocated Taco Bell join it at 5005 U.S. Highway 31.

The other location is located in Alabaster in between the O’Reilly Auto Parts and Fast Pace Urgent Care at 9187 Montevallo Road. This location currently offers a Taco Bell, and construction of a 7 Brew is ongoing following delays.

7 Brew is a drive-thru coffee stand brand that sells more than 20,000 drink combinations in total. The brand’s headquarters are located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, while the first location opened in 2017 in Rogers, Arkansas.

7 Brew sells seven original flavors—Blondie, Brunette, Smooth 7, Cinnamon Roll, White Chocolate Mocha, German Chocolate and Sweet and Salty. The coffee stand also sells a wide variety of other drinks, including cold brews, lattes, energy drinks, flavored sparkling water, teas, lemonades, smoothies and shakes.

Taco Bell, whose franchise owner is Tacala, LLC, will move from its current location at 16778 Hwy. 280 into the new site once it is built, while the 7 Brew will be placed adjacent to it, as the other locations are.

Costs for the project and dates of construction have not yet been released.
