PELHAM – Alumni of the Leadership Shelby County program will have a chance to dust off their Mardis Gras best on Thursday, Jan. 30 at the annual alumni social event.

The event, which is open to all alumni who are up to date on their dues, will take place at The BeerHog in Pelham from 5-8 p.m. and features a Beads & Brews theme.

An annual event that has moved to a Mardis Gras theme the last two years will feature alumni from many different classes of graduates during the span of the program’s history.

And this year’s is even more special as it coincides with the 30th anniversary of the program’s start.

For the second year in a row, Walk-On’s will cater the event to go with the Cajun theme, while those in attendance will get the opportunity to catch up with former classmates and graduates of other classes.

The event is free to all paid alumni, while guests are also welcome at $20 per ticket. Alumni dues continually play a key role in helping make the Youth Leadership Shelby County class free for all participants.

It marks the third year of the Mardis Gras theme, as alumni will enjoy great conversation, good food and other fun throughout the evening.
