Shelby County Business Outlook Conference, Luncheon set for Jan. 29

PELHAM – The 10th annual Shelby County Business Outlook Conference, co-hosted by 58 INC – Shelby County’s Economic Development Corporation and The Shelby County Chamber, will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 29.

The program, held in collaboration with the University of Montevallo’s Stephens School of Business, will be held at Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena located at 500 Amphitheater Road, Pelham, AL 35124.

Registration for the Conference opens at 8:30 a.m. with a panel presentation beginning at 9:15 a.m.

The panel will feature the following five business leaders:

  • Financial: Kevin Morris, AmFirst
  • Economic Development: Lauren Lambiase, Alabama Power Company
  • Healthcare: Tim Puthoff, UAB Ascension
  • Manufacturing: Steven Smith, Specification Rubber Products, Inc.
  • Technology: Austin Senseman, Birmingham AI

Panelists will share their outlook on what 2018 will look like in their respective sectors.

The panel presentation will be moderated by Dr. Sara Robicheaux of the Stephens School of Business.

Following the panel presentation, The Shelby County Chamber’s 44th annual meeting will begin with lunch, followed by Robicheaux’s presentation of the results of the 2025 Business Outlook Survey which 58 INC, the chamber and the Stephens School of Business have been conducting. That survey will feature feedback from business owners and top managers on what they think Shelby County’s economy will look like in 2025.

The investment for the 2025 Shelby County Business Outlook Conference, which includes coffee and refreshments in the morning and admission to the Chamber’s 44th annual meeting luncheon featuring Robicheaux’s presentation, is $30 for chamber investors and $40 for Future investors.
