CALERA – A new Wendy’s location celebrated its grand opening in Calera this morning with festivities and free coupons for a year of breakfast sandwiches.
On Wednesday, Jan. 8, a Wendy’s fast food restaurant opened for business at 10 a.m. at 121 Supercenter Drive in Calera where Taco Bell was formerly located.
During the grand opening festivities, franchise owner Clarence Bailey led a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Additionally, the first 100 customers to the restaurant received free coupons for a free breakfast sandwich every week for a year.
“We see our new restaurant as more than a building, but a place to better connect with the community while serving Wendy’s fresh, famous food,” Bailey said in an official press release. “We’re excited to celebrate with Calera and look forward to serving this wonderful community for years to come.”
The new Calera location is part of a Wendy’s Built-to-Suit program which aims to deliver turnkey restaurant locations to franchisees which allows individuals, like Bailey, to bring the chain to more communities.
The new Wendy’s in Calera serves all of the fast food chain’s popular menu items, including the Frosty, Baconator, Hot & Crispy Fries and more as well as a breakfast menu.
The business shared that jobs are still available at the Calera location as well as others. Those interested in applying may visit Wendys-careers.com/job-search.
