With each new calendar year comes constant requests for more safety and protection, something that we at SCR see put into action when we cover some of the events involving our local first responders.

In 2024, we have seen our first responders experience numerous accolades while carrying out their various duties. Whether that be a celebration of retirement, the graduation of various programs or even the reception of new upgrades to a station, lots of positives have been seen for numerous responders around the county.

It has been a joy to be able to tell the stories and information surrounding these achievements to the public, especially when it concerns a group of individuals who do not receive enough recognition in the first place.

For our first responders, much of the work and news of their professions goes unnoticed when it happens behind the scenes. The protection that each of them provide to communities is something that helps us run a smooth operation in our daily lives.

At SCR, the coverage that we are able to provide to the first responders as they receive these various recognitions and upgrades brings us a sense of jolity that is not found in many other places. Having the privilege to publicize their accomplishments allows us to tell people just how much they do that we do not see each day.

While news runs on a never-ending cycle, we understand that the work that first responders carry out also runs constantly and that they continue to work day and night so that we can sleep safely.

As 2025 approaches, we hope that our first responders that we cover continue to be recognized for all of the hard work they do to make sure we are protected. We are blessed to show those accomplishments to the public so that they can see just how much they are truly appreciated.
