HELENA – With the holidays just around the corner, the city of Helena announced that this year’s Christmas in Helena will feature the electrifying country band, OverDrive.

Helena encourages residents to mark their calendars for the annual tree lighting, market and music event on Friday, Dec. 6 in Helena Old Town.

OverDrive, hailing from Fort Payne Alabama, is a new band with a classic style that plans to offer an unforgettable experience. Known for their high-energy performances, this audience-interactive country band expertly blends classic country hits, ‘90s favorites and a touch of rock and roll.

“Their shows are filled with adrenaline, making them the perfect addition to our festive celebration,” read a release from the city of Helena

The Christmas in Helena event will kick off with a vibrant holiday market featuring local artisans and food vendors. Families and friends are invited to visit Santa on Main Street and enjoy an evening filled with holiday cheer, delicious food and unique gifts, culminating in a night of music with OverDrive taking the stage along with the Helena High School Choir and local entertainment. Then, for the grand finale, the city will light Helena’s official Christmas tree.

“Christmas in Helena is a cherished community tradition, and we are thrilled to have OverDrive join us this year,” said Rebekah Henderson, board chair. “Their engaging style and dynamic performances will surely get everyone into the holiday spirit.”

Admission is free, and all are invited to join in the city’s holiday festivities.

“Don’t miss this opportunity to create lasting memories with loved ones as we celebrate the season together,” read a release from the city of Helena.
