PELHAM –Making its fourth appearance on the streets of Pelham, the annual Pelham Hometown Christmas Parade will delight the community on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 5-9 p.m. at the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena.

To begin the day of festivities, the ice arena will host a family skate afternoon from 2:30-4:30 p.m. According to a release from the event’s official Facebook page, Pelham Strong is partnering with Enchanted Princesses Birmingham.

“The Ice Queen will be gliding across the ice, inviting everyone to join in on the fun,” read the release. “Her sister and everyone’s beloved snowman will be wandering around, ready to capture memorable photos and share warm hugs. Plus, a certain web-slinging hero will be there to strike a pose with you, and don’t miss the enchanting debut of the good witch.”

In addition to the family skate, the ice sisters will join Rapunzel and the “Island Princess” for photo opportunities in the evening.

Meanwhile, the main event, A Pelham Hometown Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting, will take place from 5-9 p.m. With the theme of “Christmas Past and Present,” a total of more than 65 parade floats will resurrect the spirt of Christmases past.

During the parade, families will have the opportunity to meet and greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Meanwhile, the Pelham Park Middle School Choir will join the Pelham High School Choir to sing carols.
