ALABASTER – Alabaster police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred late last night on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Shell gas station on U.S. 31.

According to a Facebook post by the Alabaster Police Department, at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Nov. 2, officers responded to an in-progress altercation at the Shell gas station. Upon arrival, officers discovered one individual suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to the APD, the investigation is considered ongoing and the department said it is unable to release further details at this time.

The APD shared that there is no risk to the public and further information will be released publicly in the form of a press release once the department has gathered more information.
