HELENA – Helena Hollow hosts a variety of events throughout the season. For the Christmas season they plan on inviting crowds to their farm for three nights of Supper with Santa. 

From Dec. 6 through Dec. 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. the farm will host small groups to enjoy various activities in addition to a Supper with Santa. There will be three groups each night, all working through the list of activities on a rotation system. 

The Supper with Santa includes a prepared meal of Mexican cuisine. 

“It’s a very intimate experience compared to our pumpkin patch,” owner Amy Griffin said. “It’s a family oriented event. It’s an entirely different experience.” 

Attendees will enjoy a lighted hayride through the woods, craft making, smores around the fire and so much more. Griffin said that the lighted hayride would include an interactive experience for children. 

“There’s usually an elf on the hayride with each group, getting the kids involved in a scavenger hunt or a story,” Griffin said. 

While there are three groups on the farm at the same time, they will all be in different sections of the experience at different times. 

“No paths cross group to group. So that’s the reason it feels intimate,” said Griffin. “Even though there are a few hundred people there, you’re with a group of 80, no more than 80, all night long. And it rotates to all of the different events.”

This unique experience has been held for just over five years, making it fairly new to the farm. Griffin said that the idea behind each of the experiences on the farm is to make their farm a homestead for family tradition. 

“My husband and I are big on creating holiday memories with our kids, and everything we have created on our farm has been for the sake of what we want our kids to experience,” Griffin said.
