ALABASTER – Siluria Baptist Church will treat members of the community to a fall festival full of games and activities on Sunday, Oct. 27. from 3-5 p.m.

“We’re very excited and we’re looking forward to seeing what the Lord blesses us with and how we can be a use to our local community,” Student Minister Cody Seals said.

This year, instead of holding a trunk or treat like usual, the church has decided to hold a fall festival which will treat attendees to a variety of activities that will have a pumpkin theme.

“This year, we’re mixing it up a little bit,” Seals said. “We’ll have bounce houses for the kids, a bunch of games and face painting.”

The event’s holiday-themed festivities will also feature pumpkin bowling, a pumpkin judging contest, a pumpkin pit and hay bale pit, pumpkin-themed cornhole and candy corn toss. A photo booth will also be available for attendees and families to take selfies and group photos.

Candy will be distributed about during the games and the church will also have food for attendees to enjoy.

“It should be a fun night for the family,” Seals said.

Siluria Baptist Church is located at 10696 Highway 119 across from Champy’s Famous Fried Chicken in Alabaster and has been engaged in serving the Siluria community for more than 100 years.

“We are a Southern Baptist church (and a) very loving family church,” Seals said. “(As) soon as you walk in the doors, you feel a connection and love and people want you there and care about you… You’ll make a family connection that will last a lifetime.”

Dr. Michael J. Brooks serves as lead pastor at Siluria Baptist Church. Those interested in learning more may visit the church’s website at Siluriabaptist.com and on its official Facebook page at Facebook.com/SiluriaBaptistChurch.
