CALERA – The Calera Police Department has announced that County Road 86 is shut down at its intersection with Highway 25 after an 18 wheeler was struck by a train.

According to Calera police, Hwy 25 is blocked in both directions after a train collided with an 18 wheeler at the railroad crossing on Hwy 25 near CR 86 in Calera.

Calera PD have reported injuries at the scene of the incident and encourage residents to avoid the areas while medical care is provided and the vehicle is removed.

The Calera Police Department shared that they have no new details at this time. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
