Pelham Music in the Park to return for fifth year

PELHAM – What began as an outdoor event during Covid, is now a much anticipated annual occurrence in Pelham.

This marks the fifth year of Music in the Park, an event hosted by Pelham Parks & Recreation Department, and will take place three Sundays in October.

Pelham Parks & Recreation Assistant Director Alicia Walters said that there is always a large turnout each week, as guests enjoy a variety of different bands and live music at each event.

On Sunday, Oct. 6, the Pelham Youth Cheerleaders will perform from 3:15-4 p.m. and the OPOV Band will take the stage from 4:30-6 p.m. Food trucks will include: Hit Different Barbeque & Grill, Pollo Goyo and Summer Snow Pelham.

The event on Sunday, Oct. 13 will feature a balloon twist artist from 4-5:30 p.m. along with crafts for children. Musical entertainment will be provided by The Negotiators from 4:30-6 p.m. Food will be provided by Uncle G’s Pizza, El Compa Taco Truck and Parasol Treats.

The final event will take place on Sunday, Oct. 20 in conjunction with the Fall-O-Ween event. There will be two live bands, including The Gore Brothers from 1:30-3 p.m. and Black Sedan Band from 4-6 p.m.

The Fall-O-Ween event will be from 1:30-6 p.m. with bounce houses, craft, carnival games, face paint, bungee jump, costume parade and a trick-or-treat trail, with kids activities concluding at 4 p.m. Food trucks will include: Kayleigh’s Carnival Concessions, Burney’s Mean Greenz and Frios Gourmet Pops.

The events are for all ages and guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair and well-mannered, leashed dogs are also welcome. Outside food is welcome and alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
