The Pelham Parks & Recreation Department is bringing a fall community event back with a little different look from last year.

This year’s event, Fall-O-Ween, will combine two events, Fall Fun Day and Music in the Park, on Oct. 20 from 1:30-6 p.m. at Pelham City Park.

“We had such a great event last year that the team wanted to add several new activities and offer live music all day,” Parks & Recreation Assistant Director Alicia Walters said. “Merging the two events into one event made perfect sense and this will give the community a fun-filled, fall day in the park. We estimate we had between 800-1,000 people in attendance last year, and anticipate an even larger crowd this year.”

Fall-O-Ween will feature a Trick-or-Treat Trail, which was one of the most popular spots at last year’s event.

“We currently have 22 of the 25 vendors secured for the Trick-or-Treat trail,” Walters said. “The vendors are local nonprofit organizations and business owners that want to have fun and give back to the community. They will decorate their booths in a fall or Halloween theme and give out lots of candy. The Pelham library will judge the booths and award the ‘best decorated’ booth.”

Other activities will include a kids’ zone with bounce houses, a bungee jump, carnival games, crafts, face painting stations, a balloon artist, a costume parade and more.

Guests can enjoy items from food trucks in attendance which will include: Kayleigh’s Carnival Concessions, Burney’s Mean Greenz and Frios Gourmet Pops with more to be announced.

For musical entertainment, The Gore Brothers will perform from 1:30-3 p.m. followed by The Black Sedan Band from 4-6 p.m., playing a selection of songs selected from the ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s along with current pop music from 4-6 p.m.

Walters said attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair so that they can spend some time with others in the enjoyment of the park.
