ALABASTER – A local spa in Alabaster is under investigation for alleged illegal acts of prostitution following an executed search warrant on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Authorities with the Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force said they executed a search warrant at Grace Spa, located at 1334 1st St. N in Alabaster, on Sept. 3 and discovered female employees engaged in illegal acts.

“The task force conducted an operation along with other state and federal law enforcement partners,” task force authorities said. “This resulted in probable cause to executed a search warrant on the business. During the operation and follow on search, it was discovered that female employees were engaging in illegal acts of prostitution.”

During their search, investigators seized items and documents in the business that were indicative of postilion and other illegal activities.

The task force said advocacy groups and citizens helped alert them to the business and possible illegal activities.

Posts on social media have been circulating in recent weeks that highlight reviews talking about “happy endings” and the business allegedly highlighting “new, young girls” and “new, pretty girls” as being employed with other suggestive messaging.

“This is still an open investigation and follow up interviews will be conducted,” the task force said. “We want to thank our partnering law enforcement agencies, victim advocacy groups and concerned citizens who assisted.”
