The Thompson Warriors will enter the season with not one, but three Preseason All-Americans as they look to reclaim their place atop Class 7A.

Safety Anquon Fegans was named to the Preseason All-American First Team and defensive lineman Cam Pritchett secured a spot on the Preseason Sophomore All-American Second Team from national high school sports outlet MaxPreps.

Both of them joined Warriors quarterback Trent Seaborn as Preseason All-Americans after the sophomore quarterback and MaxPreps’ reigning Freshman of the Year earned a place on the Sophomore All-American First Team.

Fegans had another standout season in his junior year, reaching 18 career interceptions while guarding some of Class 7A’s top receiving talent.

He also racked up 55 tackles, six pass-breakups and forced three fumbles in 2023 to secure an All-County First Team place.

Fegans is not a newcomer to the MaxPreps All-American lists as he earned postseason All-American First Team honors from the site after both his junior season in 2023 and sophomore year in 2022.

He also committed to play college football for the Auburn Tigers on July 29, headlining a class that is currently ranked No. 5 in the country by 247Sports and includes fellow Warriors teammates Jared Smith and John Alan McGuire.

Pritchett’s preseason All-American selection is the second in his career after earning a Freshman All-American Second Team spot last season and comes after a breakout freshman year for Thompson.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound lineman earned 40 tackles, including seven tackles for loss, as well as six sacks for the Warriors in 2023.

He enters the season with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Florida State, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennesee, Texas and Texas A&M among others.

Pritchett is also a two-sport athlete as he featured on Thompson’s boys basketball team which reached the Elite Eight in 2024 for the first time since 2013.

On the football field, the Warriors hope to keep their streak of six straight appearances in the state championship game alive while claiming their fifth state title in six years, and Fegans, Pritchett and Seaborn will all play key roles in the team this season.

All three preseason All-Americans will take the field for Thompson in its season opener against the Grayson Rams out of Georgia on Thursday, Aug. 22. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Warrior Stadium and the game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.
