Deborah Annette Watson Garrison, 70, of Calera, Alabama, passed away August 3, 2024. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on April 22, 1954.
Annette graduated from Mountain Brook High School and received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Samford University. She also earned a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Kaplan University.
Annette was married to Dr. William Cecil “Bill” Garrison Jr. on June 7, 1975. She worked as a registered nurse (RN) for 27 years. She was a member of the University of Montevallo Baptist Church, the University of Alabama Million Dollar Band, and the Eastern Star. Her hobbies included cooking, crocheting, reading, working puzzles, boating, fishing, traveling, taekwondo, watching Alabama football, and spending time with family, friends, and her pets.
Annette was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Bill Garrison; her parents, Dr. Horace Watson and Francis Watson; and her brother, Alan Watson. She is survived by her children, Dr. Chris Garrison (spouse, Jennifer S. Garrison) and Jenny Vreeland (spouse, Jeff Vreeland); her grandchildren, Tori Vreeland, Abby Garrison, JJ Vreeland, William Vreeland, and Savannah Vreeland; and her siblings, including Susan Richards (spouse, Fred Richards) and Dr. Mark Watson (spouse, Dr. Sally Watson).
The family extends special thanks to Columbiana Health and Rehab for the healthcare services provided to Annette over the last six years.
